Yes, excuse my language, blah blah blah, but HOW ARE WE FUCKING OKAY WITH THIS AS A COUNTRY?

I am NOT celebrating the death of Charlie Kirk mere hours ago. No death should ever be cheered on. Political violence is ostensibly on the rise in this country, and shows no signs of abating. EVER.

For those not paying attention, there was also another school shooting today in Colorado. I never had kids, so I can’t even begin to fathom what parents go through on a DAILY basis in this insane timeline. Do you all hug your children and tear up a little bit, wondering if that’s the last time you’re ever going to fucking see them again? Or do you just smile and pretend like the possibility doesn’t exist that IT MIGHT BE THE LAST TIME YOU’RE EVER GOING TO FUCKING SEE THEM AGAIN??

That’s pretty much all I’ve got today.

EXCEPT I do want to take just a moment to point out the meme above and ask one question. In 2023, Charlie spoke these words about that dastardly second amendment, saying that amendment was to protect “our other God-given rights.” Which is basically a claim that the second amendment itself is a God-given right. Which leaves me wondering: where the hell in the Bible does the word “gun” exist??

I guess they probably took some liberties with translation in that Lee Greenwood edition that Trump is pawning off on his sycophants and minions.

And I assume we’ve all seen some of them in their atypical non-red hats that read “God, Guns, and Trump.” This is a blasphemous, disastrous combination, the fruit of which was born yet again today through the ravaged bodies of human flesh pierced by lead. And it will be born again tomorrow. And the day after. AND THE DAY AFTER.
