Time to call their bluff

It’s obvious that the plan of this administration is to eventually rip away health insurance from tens of millions of people — including children — and that the ACA subsidies are set to at least double for just about everyone else who gets their private insurance through the marketplace. All of this will ultimately force ALL insurance costs to rise across the board. Since this is the Project 2025 plan, we are basically powerless to stop it at this point.

So, I say: I know this will be an unpopular opinion but I think it’s time to call their bluff. Democrats should agree to reopen the government. But with two simple demands.

The President himself, along with the Republican majority leaders in both houses of Congress by his side — and with his entire cabinet standing behind them — delivers a press conference saying that THEY will finally unveil the plan behind the “concepts of a plan.” They take FULL responsibility on national TV, saying that they will fix the “broken” healthcare system. And Democrats then simply ABSTAIN on any healthcare votes. Don’t vote against whatever the Republicans come up with — just simply vote “present.”

Get Speaker Johnson to swear on a bible that once the government is open again for business, that he will immediately swear in recently elected and certified Representative Adelita Grijalva, which will trigger the discharge petition on the Epstein files.

Got it? Let’s once and for all remove this bullshit narrative that the shutdown is the fault of the Democrats, and their ridiculous claims that Democrats are keeping the government shut down because they want to give away millions of dollars to lure more Antifa types from all the brown countries, or that they want 100% open borders and “transgender for everyone.” Call their bluff. MAKE THE MAGA PARTY OWN THE FALLOUT. Sure, we’ll end up further destroying the country, but it’s obvious that’s the plan anyway, right? Do we really think we’re going to stop it? WE AREN’T. At least not with this stupid “left vs. right” mentality that the entire country has been spoonfed and bought into for decades.

Yes, this will wreak havoc on the entire country, but at the very least, the veil will FINALLY fall, and a majority of the MAGA cultists will finally realize that this is a government of the billionaires, by the billionaires, and for the billionaires. It’s time to repair the rift the rich have hoisted on hundreds of millions of Americans for decades, by convincing them that “they,” the “other,” are the ones responsible for the pain and misery of poor rural white folk. Because here is EXACTLY what will happen when the government reopens:

They WILL screw you over. All of us. Without hesitation. Because they are lying through their teeth. This was the whole point of the "One Big Beautiful Bill!" Healthcare will basically collapse under the burdensome weight of premiums that will literally double or triple, precluding anyone from being able to afford their own insurance and thus exponentially increasing premiums even for anyone with employer sponsored healthcare. Basically, we all get screwed.

EVEN IF Speaker Johnson is true to his word and swears in Representative Grijalva, there will still be SOME workaround or obstacle or preventative measure to avoid releasing the files in which we ALL know Trump is implicated.

I’m sure there will continue to be millions of MAGA who for whatever bizarre twisted reason will still do the prescribed mental gymnastics to continue to support every decision, swallow and regurgitate all talking points, and toe the party line. However, I guarantee with this bold, calculated move, we will siphon off enough MAGA voters to build a coalition big enough to take back both houses of Congress in 2026 in a landslide. The financial fallout for them will be too personal and acute to be able to blame it on Democrats any longer.

THIS is how we bring “We the People” back together. They will finally wise up and, collectively, we will sweep the midterms, and then can start working to repair the incalculable damage that has been done to our country in just 9 months. IF we even end up having elections at all, that is. Which, if you’ve been following the Project 2025 playbook, is most definitely NOT the plan.

So, left leaning friends, let’s just suck it up and prepare for the bumpy ride. Let MAGA finally have the day they voted for. It’s time they learn the truth, and this is likely the only way.
